Is something that
you will be required to give an account for really yours? I know that when it’s
said that one owns a thing, he/she has the right to use it as he/she pleases
with no one questioning him/her about it; you can spend your money the way you
please and give your personal belongings to whomever you please with no one
questioning you about it.
But when in the
end of the day someone is going to be requiring an account of what you did with
what you were given, then it’s obvious that you never had total control of what
you were given, though you were given the free will to spend it as you please.
I’ve heard a lot
of young people say that they own their lives; hence can use it the way they
please. No wonder you see people committing suicide all in the name of owning
their lives and engaging in various harmful practices such as drugs,
prostitution, etc. if I should ask here, do those people know how that life
they’re claiming to own and mishandling came into being?
I was reading a
place in the scriptures and it says, everyone will give an account for what
he/she does with his/her life. What does that spell to you? It simply means
that you’re going to answer questions about that life that you’re claiming to
own; which also means that you don’t have the right to treat and use that life
carelessly because you’re going to answer for it.
Another part of
the scriptures also said that, it’s appointed unto man once to die and after
that comes judgment. What’s going to be judged here? You’re going to be judged
on how you treat that life you were given. What does this mean? Your life is
never yours though you were given the free will to use it as you please.
Be careful how you
treat that precious life you were given by God because a day is coming when we
all are going to stand before him and give him a full account on how we use the
life that was given to us. Your account on how you use the life you were given
is what will be used to determine if you worth having it eternally in heaven or
in hell. Think about this!
Don’t hesitate to
comment and share on you social pages as you can’t tell which of your friends
it might be useful to. Thanks.
