It is a well
known fact that the Family is the bedrock of every society; as that is where
the individuals operating in the society are suppose to stem from. But, there
can be no family without marriage. Yes, marriage.
procreation. They forget to ask ‘what
happens to the procreated seed after the procreation?’
Marriage is made
for building and nurturing great lives in a loving environment called family.
Without well structured families, there would be no well structured society. Every
society is made up of individuals that run that society and those individuals are
the ones that are responsible for the daily functionality of such a society. When
the individuals in a family can’t function properly as a result of strains in
the family, the society becomes stagnated. That is to say, the moment a
marriage goes bad, the family loses its structure and the moment the family
loses its structure, the society starts losing its structure and orderliness.
Marriage is
needed to keep a family together and a family is needed to keep the society
orderly and structured. The orderliness of any society is dependent on the
state of the families in that society, not on the sophistication of the law
enforcement agencies in that society.
I just can’t stop
emphasizing that ‘the family is needed for a better society.’ But there can be
no family if there is no marriage. It baffles me when I hear the way our media
promote and celebrate divorce more than marital successes. They make marriage
seem like a difficult work and a crime that should only be engaged in by feeble
minded individuals. And the same media would be quick to announce that the
society is losing its values and becoming more lawless.
Why won’t there
be lawlessness when those things that are vital for building a great life and
keeping a great society are being relegated to the background. The strength of
any society is very much dependent on the unity of the families in it. And the
unity of the families is dependent on the unity of the partners that have taken
the vow to be faithful to each other and to nurture great off-springs in an
institution called marriage. You can’t despise marriage and relegate it to the
background and expect the society not to be affected because the products of
the marriage are what are going to make up the society.
When a marriage
breaks down, everyone gets affected; not just the two partners and the seeds of
the union. The partners are affected, the children are affected and the society
is also affected because both partners and their children are part of the
society.
Has anyone try to ask what would make a teen go to a public place with a fire arm and try to gun anyone down that he comes in contact with? Or why there are so many drug addicts and die hard criminals in the society? Has anyone cared to ask why most of our youths are so carefree that they don’t consider the consequences of their actions before indulging in them? Those are simply the results of failed marriages and families.

When the family
is not conducive enough to breed healthy children, the society suffers for it. And
the family can never be conducive if both partners are not maintaining a good
and loving relationship. Most partners having strains in their marriages fail
to work on it because the media always present people that fight for the
success of their relationship as weak.
If only the media would understand that marriage is very vital for keeping a great family and hence a great society and start promoting marriage and its importance with every little opportunity it has, the society would be much better and less work would be given to our law enforcement agencies.

Let’s not let the
devil rob us of this very vital part of our lives. Marriage and family are very
vital for our existence as human beings and we shouldn’t take both of them
lightly. Let’s start promoting family unity and marriage as that is one sure
way of reducing violence and lawlessness in our society.
