YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR TONGUE, YOUR WORDS AND YOUR ACTIONS

Someone once said that, “God gave us a mouth not just to eat alone but so that we could charge ourselves through the course of life.” What we think about, we speak and what we speak, we act, what we act, we become. Our dominant thoughts always become our most spoken words and our most spoken words always control our dominant actions.

Some people might argue that our actions are controlled by our beliefs. But our beliefs are not complete without words and action; as these are the only means through which we express our beliefs. In other words, we can say that our beliefs are not complete without words.

What does this portrays? It simply means that our lives are likely to move in the direction of the words we speak often. I’ve met people in life that have the habit of talking themselves down whenever things don’t go as they planned it to. No matter how awkward a situation might be or appear to be, you owe yourself a duty of charging yourself through that awkward situation by encouraging yourself with positive words.

Some people might say, whether you speak positively or not about a bad situation, nothing will still change about it. But have you noticed that even if the situation remains the same, we don’t feel the negative effect of such awkward situation very much compared to when we talk ourselves down and allow regret to take over us?  Speaking positively about ourselves in the mist of awful situation dampens the effect of the negative feelings we’re supposed to experience as a result of that bad situation and encourages us of the supposed brighter days ahead.

The more you make a positive confession about your life, the more you would want to act your confession and the more likely your life will move in the direction of your confessions. Our words are the bridge that link our present to our future; they help in structuring out lives; should you want a solid structure in your life, you should let your words show it.

Let the words that comes out of your mouth be words of encouragement and victory. Don’t forget that what you speak often, you believe, what you believe, you act and what you act, you become. Our lives move in the direction of our words as that is what shapes who we become in this life.  Be careful with what you say about yourself if you know that you want to live a good life in this world.
