Power of prayer

Most of us Christians sometimes wonder why God Almighty demands us to pray ceaselessly?

Simple Cure For Sadness And Depression

common causes of depression

Someone once asked me ‘what I thought  was one of the common causes of sadness and depression?’’ And I subconsciously said,

3 Effective Ways to Deal with Everyday Challenges

overcoming daily challenges

We know that not everything that happens to us is pleasant or what we expect them to be. And sometimes when such ill experiences occurred in our lives, it is not the experience itself that produces the greatest effects on us but

TAKE THE LEAP

Take the Leap!
The Leap of faith!
"For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall." Psalm 18:29
Today mark another leap year! As we were entering this year, I felt the prompting of the Spirit that it's time to "take the leap."
Faith is daring!
You have waited for too long, procrastinated for ages and boxed in the shadow of your dreams. I hear God saying NOW FAITH IS....

THE ONLY TRUE PATH TO LIFE

The Path of life
'Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.' Psalm 16:11

"The path of life" speaks of a definite way, a particular and specific one

YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR TONGUE, YOUR WORDS AND YOUR ACTIONS

Someone once said that, “God gave us a mouth not just to eat alone but so that we could charge ourselves through the course of life.” What we think about, we speak and what we speak, we act, what we act, we become. Our dominant thoughts always become our most spoken words and our most spoken words always control our dominant actions.

WHY YOU NEED FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND YOU

There’s this saying that ‘nobody is an island’ and no matter how hard you try to isolate yourself from the people around you, there will come a time when you’ll need them; no matter how little that need may be.

IS YOUR LIFE REALLY YOURS?

Is something that you will be required to give an account for really yours? I know that when it’s said that one owns a thing, he/she has the right to use it as he/she pleases with no one questioning him/her about it; you can spend your money the way you please and give your personal belongings to whomever you please with no one questioning you about it.

But when in the end of the day someone is going to be requiring an account of what you did with what you were given, then it’s obvious that you never had total control of what you were given, though you were given the free will to spend it as you please.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN LIFE

Before you can truly succeed in any venture in life, you must have the love and passion for it and understand the whys and whats that are needed to make it a success, because those are the things that are likely to keep you focused and help you hold your ground whenever you’re faced with difficult challenges along the way.

WHOM ARE YOU COMPETING WITH

There was this story about a young man from Nigeria that won 10 million naira in one of the promos organized by one of the telecom companies in Nigeria. This young man had never ever come in contact with a million naira before this time. He was so excited and couldn’t believe that he had turned into a millionaire with just one opportunity. But what surprised everyone was the fact that instead of that young man to invest that money in any profitable venture, he quickly went to purchase a Prado jeep worth 9.5 million naira. Citing some of his friends driving such a car as the reason for his decision; Saying that he had to keep up with them.

He forgot all the plans that he might have had before then in a jiffy. This is what actually happens, when we live life like we’re in a competition. We let those around us define the pace and path in which our life is going to take which in turn lead us into making wrong decisions that would not be beneficial and profitable to us in the long run.

WHY YOU ARE YET TO HAVE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR

Imagine someone wanting to buy a 50litre gallon of fuel but went to the fuel station with just a 10litre gallon and expect to have a 50litre worth of fuel in it. Where are the remaining 40litres going to be kept?

This is how most of us are. We are praying for the next level and expect God to take us there at once without considering our readiness and preparation for such level. No wonder we’ve been where we are for such a very long time and we have started thinking that maybe God is partial when we see those that we are supposedly older than in our field or ministry overtake us. Yet we never bother to ask ourselves what is it that we’ve been doing wrongly and how we’re going to correct that so that we’ll be taken to our rightful positions?

A CALL TO THE NIGERIAN YOUTHS

Nigerian youths, where have you been all these years with no trace of your existence?
What has held you down all these years that no one could even hear your struggle or cry for help?
Has your situation been this critical that the only job and position you are qualified for is thuggery?
Or are you that desperate that you don’t even mind mortgaging your promising future for a drop of palm wine that can never quench your enormous taste?
Nigerian youths, why must we continue to enslave ourselves to those same people that think we are not even smart enough to rule our own life?
Are we that dumb?
