Why Should We Pray?

1Thessalonians 5:17 says "pray without season". Why?

Most of us Christians sometimes wonder why God Almighty demands us to pray ceaselessly?

WHAT TO DO WHEN IT SEEMS YOUR PRAYER IS TAKING TOO LONG TO BE ANSWERED

Have you been asking God for a particular thing for a long time now and it is not forth coming? You have fasted and prayed about it for days and given challenging seeds, but still you are yet to receive the answer to your request; You’ve even started thinking that maybe it is the little sins that you are still indulging in here and there that is preventing you from receiving answers to your prayers and you have even started amending your ways and working more on pleasing God and getting involved the more in his service, yet the answer to your request is not forth coming. Today mark another leap year! As we were entering this year, I felt the prompting of the Spirit that it's time to "take the leap."

WHAT EVERY DEDICATED CHRISTIANS DOES

Mount up!
Up on a Mountain!

"And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him." Matthew 5:1

Only disciples will ascend up on a mountain, just to spend time with the Lord. Whereas, the multitudes will always be comfortable in the plain/valley. The plain is always crowded and full of distractions, hence it is a mixed multitude

YOU TOO CAN PROPHESY

The Testimony of Jesus

"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Revelation 19:10

Do not be deceived by seers and false

THE ONLY NAME BY WHICH MAN CAN BE SAVED

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  Acts 4:12 KJV

Salvation is a complete package. Embedded in it are all the multifaceted riches of God's grace. The key to unlocking God's full resource

THE ONLY TYPE OF WORSHIP GOD ACCEPTS

In spirit and in truth! 

'Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

[23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.' John 4:22-24

You worship what you know not (IGNORANT WORSHIP), We know what we worship (INTELLIGENT WORSHIP) but the Father seeks those that will worship Him in spirit

THE ONLY TRUE PATH TO LIFE

The Path of life   

'Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.' Psalm 16:11

"The path of life" speaks of a definite way, a particular and specific one

ARE YOU PROUD TO BE A CHRISTIAN?

A Christian in name only!

"And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach." Isaiah 4:1

A prophetic word indeed! - it does not imply scarcity of men, it speaks of some strange lovers. Notice that these women ain't seeking for an "intimate relationship" where love exist

YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR TONGUE, YOUR WORDS AND YOUR ACTIONS

Someone once said that, “God gave us a mouth not just to eat alone but so that we could charge ourselves through the course of life.” What we think about, we speak and what we speak, we act, what we act, we become. Our dominant thoughts always become our most spoken words and our most spoken words always control our dominant actions. 

IS YOUR LIFE REALLY YOURS?

Is something that you will be required to give an account for really yours? I know that when it’s said that one owns a thing, he/she has the right to use it as he/she pleases with no one questioning him/her about it; you can spend your money the way you please and give your personal belongings to whomever you please with no one questioning you about it.

But when in the end of the day someone is going to be requiring an account of what you did with what you were given, then it’s obvious that you never had total control of what you were given, though you were given the free will to spend it as you please.
